Episode 1: Love in Action | A Couple’s Commitment to Community
What does it look like to serve together, with love, purpose, and consistency?
In this first episode of Powered by the People, IMPACT504 Board Member Jornea Armant sits down with
Kevin and Barbara Arceneaux, dedicated IMPACT504 volunteers
who are showing us what it truly means to give back as a couple.
Through their story, you’ll hear how small acts of service become powerful moments of connection
and how choosing to serve with love, offer choices, and provide quality
can transform not just communities, but the people doing the work.
This is more than volunteering. This is commitment. This is community.

We will soon be announcing details on our inaugrual 504 Hunger TAKEOVER Summit which will be dedicated to ending hunger in the City of New Orleans.
Across our communities, countless churches, grassroots leaders, mutual‑aid groups, and nonprofits are doing extraordinary work to feed individuals and families in need. Yet despite these efforts, hunger remains a daily struggle for many of our residents.
This summit is being designed to bring us together—not to duplicate efforts, but to strengthen them. By establishing shared strategies, identifying priority neighborhoods, and creating a coordinated feeding and stocking schedule, we can dramatically increase the reach, efficiency, and quality of food access across the city.
We will engage in planning sessions, solution design labs, data‑driven discussions, and community‑centered conversations that will shape a collaborative anti‑hunger framework for New Orleans.
Our goal is simple yet powerful: to ensure that every person in every neighborhood has consistent access to healthy, reliable, culturally appropriate food.
We hope you will join us in building the unified strategy our city deserves.
Together, we can take over hunger—and eliminate it.
