Communities across the country and here in New Orleans need dedicated leaders who can grow and lead transformational change on behalf of children, families and communities. Our Founder and CEO, Percy Marchand, is one of those local leaders, selected to join the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network with the Center for Creative Leadership. This innovative fellowship brings together 80 dynamic and diverse leaders from local communities and the national child- and family-serving ecosystem.
The 18-month fellowship curriculum prepares leaders to rise to the challenges of our time, emphasizing collective leadership to affect systems change. Through a variety of activities, fellows deepen their understanding of systems transformation and hone their skills in navigating differences and bringing people together around collaborative solutions.

Youth from across the city participated in the BOODat504 Halloween Community Extravaganza, engaging in arts & crafts activities, STEM projects, and interacting with NOPD and NOFD personnel and equipment. They had the chance to shine in our costume contest, experienced the Fright Night Haunted House, and danced the night away with DJ Arie Spins! This exciting event also supported the HEALTHY504 initiative by advocating for and raising funds and donations for a mother who had recently survived a domestic violence incident. Additionally, it set the stage for future events like the IMPACT504 DAY and the IMPACT504 Krewe de Charite, along with the upcoming WinterFest504 Gert Town Community Christmas Parade Giveaway.
Families from across the city descended upon Gert Town for the Second Annual WinterFest504 Gert Town Community Christmas Parade Giveaway. Before processing through the neighborhood and handing out gifts and throws to neighbors along the route, youth were engaged with arts and crafts and slime projects. Following the parade, attendees were treated to a Holiday Feast. This event is part of a broader series of activities, including the BOODat504 Halloween Community Extravaganza and HEALTHY504 initiatives, as well as the upcoming IMPACT504 DAY and IMPACT504 Krewe de Charite.
